Home Staging Marketing Strategies to Sell Properties

Is Your Marketing Hot?

The number one question that I always get from all of my clients, whether they are Certified Home Stagers, Home Stagers in Training, Real Estate Agents or Investors, Small Business Owners, Speakers, Entrepreneurs – you name it, this is their question: How do I market my business?

Many have some idea how to market their business, but they don’t know how to effectively market, in order to get the results they desire, which is the key. Usually, they delegate their marketing to an advertising channel such as the yellow pages, some random online marketing or a flyer or two that has been passed out at a meeting in the hopes that everyone that takes one will call you back keep hoping!

I love the coffee cup above as an extra hot marketing tool. Not only is the Bakery advertising with each cup of coffee, but they are in turn selling advertising to other clients on the mug. Super Smart! And of course the mug makes sense to their customer since they serve all sorts of coffee drinks at the Bakery.

Could they have done better with an extraordinary offer and a guarantee? Of course! The problem was lack of space, so they worked with what they had.

The real question though, is what does it take to make your marketing hot?

1) It must speak to your customer- Just like the coffee speaks to the customers buying a croissant, yours must do the same. Ask yourself who your customer is and what appeals directly to them. Is it a real estate agent, an investor, a home seller who is your customer and what speaks to them? Then, make sure your message sizzles!

2) Scare them or speak to their greed- Yes, that is the truth. The best way to capture your customer’s attention is by scaring the pants off of them or appealing to the sense of greed. So, if you are marketing your Home Staging Services, then you would send them a message like; Are you ready to sit on that listing for another 6 months? Or, Would you like to make an extra $5,000 this month?

3) Make in Incredible Offer- You can do this in a variety of ways. It can be accomplished with a 100% money back guarantee, the offer of a FREE flatscreen TV, 50% off, Buy One Get One Free, or even thru a great prize that your customer wins by participating in your contest. The idea is to give them something so juicy that they feel compelled to give you a shot.

4) Market Consistently- One of the most attractive things to potential clients is that they see your marketing consistently. Now they know you are not a, fly by night, home stager, running your business as a hobby instead of as a real company, and that you are smart enough to know how to market. That in and of itself is often appealing enough to some future clients.

5) Surprise them with your Marketing- The coffee cup was a surprise, so it was fun. When we stage homes and hide a pocket of emotion in the drawer and the buyer opens the drawer, that is fun (and it is house marketing). Having a message like the 25 reasons a rubber duck can sell your home is a fun surprise because they don,t expect it. If you really want to have ..hot..marketing, surprise them with the unexpected.

I think the last thing I would say about marketing is to simply look and see what your competition is doing and do the opposite. They are the ones inclined to post an ad and then not get any calls so they quickly determine the ad does not work. Hmmm, maybe they did not place an ad in a location that their customers see, or the ad just was not compelling.

The best example I can give for this is when I started my own Home Staging company, I looked around at all the other Home Stager Certification Program out there talking about making houses pretty and it dawned on me that there marketing was all about them instead of the results they could achieve for their potential clients. That is when I came out with our tag line of “Anybody can make your house pretty, we make it SELL.” Obviously, that did the trick.

So, let’s get you a great list of customers beating down your door so you can show them how extraordinary you really are, while introducing them to your hot marketing.

Sincerely,
Karen Schaefer – Home Staging Training and Certification APSD

AUTOMATED PHONE MARKETING

AUTOMATED PHONE MARKETING

I have to tell you about this great marketing tool I just discovered. It is an automated phone marketing system, called Phone Broadcast Club. It is exactly what I have been looking for in a marketing tool. I am a small business owner and my marketing budget is quite small. So you can understand that I have conducted a lot of research in this area. When I found Phone Broadcast Club my search ended. I own a clothing consignment shop and I use this tool three separate and very unique ways.

First, every time I make a sale in my shop, I ask for the customer’s phone number. I put that number in my phone number data base. Then at the beginning of each month I record a new phone message of upcoming sales for the month. Then, using the sales phone number data base, I let the automated phone marketing system call prior customers to inform them of the monthly sale events.

Second, I have a data base of phone numbers for the people that have consignment accounts and record a 30 second message that pertains to the consignment aspect of the business. I let my consigners know what clothing types I am looking for, what isn’t selling and not to bring in, etc- The consigners really appreciate this because they know what to bring and not to bring before they even leave their home with an armload of clothes.

Third, I record a 30 second message discussing the store name, location, business hours and phone number. I give a brief summary of what my business is then tell them about a sale that I am having for the month. I use a phone number database that blankets certain geographical areas around my shop. Then I let the Phone Broadcast Club automated phone marketing tool do its thing!

This program spends all the time on the calls and I just sit back and enjoy the benefits of increased sales and less confusion in my shop! Using an automated phone marketing system is the most effective marketing tool I have used so far. I have tried radio, television, newspaper and marketing mailing campaigns and by far this automated phone marketing system has out produced the others combined! If you are looking for a new way to get your business out there, you have to try this!

Buying Twitter followers for business profile

Marketers have the clearest idea about how a number of people are important for their business. The more exposure a business gets, the more customer database will increase. In order to get a business more exposure, the social media websites can be of a great health, especially Twitter. Twitter is a social networking site with millions of people active on it. It stands on the top of the social media networking and people stay connected with tweets and by following each other. For a business marketer, Twitter can be proven to be very beneficial; more followers will mean more customers. If a business profile on Twitter has low number of followers, then it can be a very challenging task to gather more followers, it is highly recommended that one Buy Twitter Followers

Twitter is a very popular brand; many internet users consider Twitter to be their main site for social networking. Twitter is also a home to different renowned personalities of the world which includes the presidents of different countries, politicians, singers, actors, actresses, designers and other celebrities. Many of these have authentic and realistic profiles, there is a hardly a chance one can come across a fake profile on twitter. If one has business regarding T-shirts, what they can do is follow a famous celebrity and tweet their product along with the tagging of the celebrity. For example, one can sell a T shirt which may have Lady Gaga’s Art Pop album printed in the front, one can tweet -Get exclusive @LadyGaGa #ArtPop T shirts only #TheTeeShirtCompany’. The fan following of Lady Gaga will see this post and will eventually follow the business profile, and who knows, they may even place an order. When tweeting, don’t forget to add tags by typing -@’ and hashtags by using -#’.

In order to sell your products and service quickly, one can Buy Twitter Followers cheap for their products. There are many people who are offering this service, while the Twitter itself can advertise the profile on the website giving it an exposure to millions of Twitter users. This is the quickest method rather than following people and then tweeting with their name. Twitter gives exposure to a business in a very short time. A business profile should be made public; tweets should be posted on a regular basis. One should make sure that the tweets should be interesting so that the followers will remain engaged. If the tweets are interesting, the purchased followers will then re-tweet (share) the post on their profile which will result in more followers and more exposure to the business profile, leading to a larger consumer database.

There are many people on the internet who will offer the option to buy Twitter followers cheap. Since the rates offered will be cheap many people may get attracted to it and will take the offer. Even if the rates are cheap, one should not forget about the quality of fans, since there are many people who offer fake Twitter followers from fake profiles and those who may un-follow after a while. In these services one may find real Twitter followers and fake followers, it is highly recommended one takes service from that person who had been helping others and has a very positive feedback. The fake Twitter followers are those which have been generated by bot and they are made visible for temporary basis or they have no use for a business profile at all since they are not active. Twitter is now compatible with mobile since it also has its own applications which run on different Smartphones. The Twitter fans will stay connected whether they are on their computer, laptop or on mobile.

Intro To Marketing Thinking About Target Markets

A target market is the market segment to which a particular product is marketed. Target market is a key concept for your business. The more you know about your target market and how to position your product to sell to that market, the more successful your business will be.

Target Segment Identification

Target segments or markets are often defined by their demographic attributes such as age, gender, geography or income. They are also often grouped by preferences such as trendy, organic, etc. In B2B marketing, target markets are typically defined by industry and business size.

Consumer Markets

Consumer markets can be specific to a part of the globe or can sometimes be global in nature such as Baby Boomers, those people born from about 1946 to about 1959 in World War II affected countries. This huge segment of the population has been defining market trends since their birth and will continue to do so as they age. In most countries, these consumers are generally better educated and more affluent, and are often the consumers of high end merchandise as well as merchandise that creates quality of life.

In western countries, another segment that has recently been gaining notoriety is the ‘tweenies’. These are the aged eight to twelve year olds, no longer children in terms of maturity and taste but not yet teenagers. This sought after group, armed with discretionary income, are the likely segment for those selling electronics and gaming equipment as well as fashion merchandise.

There are also a number of groups that have less household recognition but are very important in the marketplace. One such example is LOHAS. This segment of cosumers who subscribe to Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) is an enormous marketplace ($228.9 billion in the U.S.) for goods and services focused on health, the environment, social justice, personal development and sustainable living. The consumers attracted to this market have also been collectively referred to as Cultural Creatives. Approximately 30 percent of the adults in the U.S., or 50 million people, are currently considered LOHAS Consumers. The interconnections between global economies, cultures, environments, and political systems play a large role in the holistic worldview of the typical LOHAS Consumer, but equally important are the interconnections of mind, body and spirit within individuals.

Business Markets

Business markets have huge variation based on industry, size, location and governance.

The healthcare industry, for example, has enormous needs for products from basic office supplies to sophisticated electronics, software and equipment, linens, personal consumables and so on. Does the notion of serving the healthcare industry seem too daunting to you as an online reseller? Or, is it too large a segment to be meaningful? Try thinking about smaller segments within this industry such as physicians’ offices who buy not only traditional medical supplies but also office furnishings including artwork, paper goods, promotional items, waiting room reading materials, electronics such as pagers and so on.

Manufacturing industries require every manner of tools, specialised and generic parts, machinery and so on. Again, too daunting? Narrow your segment to auto parts manufacturers; narrow again to auto parts manufacturers with revenues of less than GBP 10,000,000.

Who are your target markets? Sports enthusiasts? Travelers? College students? Families with young children? Identify the markets that you sell your services or products to as specifically as possible. The better you know your market, the better you can plan your marketing campaign.

Characteristics of Target Segments

The value of identifying target segments is that they are groups of people with similar points of view and/or similar needs or purchasing patterns. By understanding those segments, you can position your products in the optimal way.

Need

Once a target segment has been identified and described to the extent possible demographically, it is useful to understand that segment’s needs. Are they looking for value and efficiency? Do they need support because they have too much on their plates? Are they analytic and particular and have the finances to support that approach? Are they empty nesters looking for ways to enjoy their new lives? Are they people with a strong devotion to a holistic and spiritual approach to life and are willing to make life changes to operate that way?

Resources

What kind of resources does your target population have? Are they middle income people who want a bargain or want to buy products that look high end but are economically priced? Are they high income people who prefer to surround themselves with one-of-a-kind creations and seek out fine craftsmaship? Are they wholistic folks who prefer to buy natural and organic and will search the Net looking for goods that match their special needs?

Methods of Receiving Information

Where do you find your target segment and how do they receive information? Are they socialising in MySpace or searching eBay for bargains?

Purchasing Behavior

Does your target market purchase frequently? Do they follow sales and buy at a good price or read supporting materials and buy quality? Are they constantly seeking out new sources or do they show purchase loyalty?

The answers to these questions give you the information you need to optimise sales.

Nokia’s Decline Is Not Related With Marketing

Why did Nokia decline? The most nonsensical argument is that Nokia is too far away from Silicon Valley and it lost the ability to innovate and lead innovation. It can also be said that Nokia failed due to the continuous blow of Apple and Google. Especially Apple has rewritten the golden age of the traditional mobile phone manufacturers represented by Nokia.

Of course, this does not mean that Nokia will surely perish in the short term. Nokia will not get out of the Chinese market. Nokia can not be acquired in a short-term. However, Nokia’s decline has a variety of reasons. The only one that does not have to bear the important responsibility is probably Nokia’s marketing, especially China’s marketing team.

Nokia’s marketing has been very powerful. Whether channels or activities, whether endorsements or advertising, Nokia’s marketing and innovation are world-class. New Year’s Eve concert, superstar strategy, advertising campaign and the innovative application of Internet marketing, Nokia’s marketing throughout the industry is in the lead.

It is pity that Nokia who understands social media marketing is abandoned by the user. Even Nokia itself has given up Symbian and switched to Microsoft camp. The reality is so cruel. You may have not committed anything wrong, even always a plus in marketing, but the situation is hopeless. No matter what kind of marketing ideas and deeds can not change the decline of the Nokia product line.

Nokia’s decline is not much related with marketing, but Nokia’s case was enough to alert all the marketing people. Marketing is not everything. There are things more important than marketing, such as products.

Nokia’s has an absolute advantage in technology innovation. But the efficient operation of the corporate culture and cost control has become a stumbling block of innovative thinking. Nokia discarded the touch wave, just because it takes into account the risk of the high cost. It is reluctant to give up the lagged behind Symbian system early.

Although Nokia has seen competitors continually erode their market share, but Nokia is still reveling in the industry leader position in the past few years. When the rise of Apple and other smart phone threat and gradually replace its position, Nokia was awakened and rushed to find partners like Microsoft. Nokia today have lost even the hope of turning over.

Analysts of the industry say that technology innovation is the key factor of mobile phone manufacturers. Marketing is not everything. The products and technology innovation play a more important role.
